And I cannot add the code but Vinnie can! I wonder why he have time to complain about this instead of solving this "problem"... Blocking clients is no solution! And if there is a "problem" he have to post where the problem is - perhaps we need a new protocol than! But actually the most clients (including bearshare) are using the 0.6 protocol - and all developers I asked, said there is almost no difference between 0.4 and 0.6! So where is the problem? Morgwen |
in response to the original question of blocking clients. i dont understand all of the technical shtuff concerning how they all talk to each other, nor do i wish to know, but as a user, i feel that the more people connected to the network, the better off it is. this is all about filesharing. let us not forget the purpose at hand. thats my opinion, now you all can go ahead and trash my idea with technical information that i do not understand, but please dont forget the basic idea.... I am a Mullet hunter. |
That is the problem! There is no technical issue for this... Morgwen |
I agree with Morgwen. It's his client but he doesn't own Gnutella. Ivan "In the dark we make a brighter light" |
Bearshare 2.5 beta 8 does not support 0.4 handshaking. Can somebody tell me which clients still use that version or which use 0.6? I'm using Gnotella 1.2.0 beta and I don't know if I will be affected. Ivan "In the dark we make a brighter light" |
