why does gnutella claim all my cpu ressources?

hi everybody,

my problem: gnutella use all my available cpu ressources so that i can't run other applications!

i've got a 750 mhz-prozessor (128 mhz ram) with w2k as operating system, and i'm connected to the net via cable.

when i run gnutella i get at beginning 1 or 2 hosts which increase to the number of 800 and my gnutella connections fluctuate between 180 and 200!

well, if somebody has got any suggestions - please write to: uwemack@uni-bremen.de

cheers

mac
