audio quality

Hello,
I was wondering why every song I download has 'pauses/misses' in the song itself. Is there something I can do to correct this annoyance? If so please explain. Thanks a million

The recording industry is doing it. They are polluting gnutella with bad mp3s.

Do you have any evidence to substantiate that claim?

Every song? Does this include songs that you haven't downloaded? If so, then I'd assume there's something up with your soundcard, or your PC isn't able to handle it all that well. If that's so, try finding songs with a lower bitrate, or a better media player.

Let me know if this answers it for you.

Hi

Seems to me, eeek is right. Every now and then I found some bad mp3s too. All of these were more or less recent "Hits". The Jazz I search for is OK without any exception !

Audio Quality

I just started using Limewire for downloading. Every mp3 I've downloaded has problems during playback. Some actually lockup my computer, others have "misses" during playback or "pops."

Is this unique to Limewire?

Prior to morpheus going t*ts up I never had any problems with the quality of mp3 files downloaded.

Any thoughts, recommendations?

Thanks

If you're using the LimeWire MP3 player, it sure is. Otherwise, it's an all-Gnutella problem.

I wouldn't know if there are problem files on my part of the network because I don't download popular MP3s. Unless if you're talking popular in Japan, and those have zero problems (besides strange-looking ID3 tags).
