Rumours: Xolox will come back

Rumours say Xolox will come back, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.

Could someone confirm this, could someone download a new version or contact Pasman?

Taliban April 10th, 2002 02:29 AM

It seems to be true, however I'm not sure whether Beerenboot IT is behind this or just one or two original developers who are working on it in their free time.

any information beside "it seems to be true"?

Well, someone at zeropaid said he'd seen the new version. He said it'd be a slightly upgraded version of the last Xolox and that it'd would display mp3-bitrates, that's more or less all I've read about it.

yes, we all can follow the link above and repeat rumours.

Let me ask again: Could someone confirm this (with facts), could someone download a new version (which URL) or contact Pasman?

Serious answers please.

No! :(

The only reliable source for this is Jorge... perhaps he got a mail from Pasman?

You can have XoloX right now, just take Gnucleus and strip out about 300K of source code to make it only have three choices in silly little icons "Search, Transfers, Files"

Take out any pull down menus, limit the preferences, and remove a lot of other useful features

and Gnucleus is now XoloX!

XoloX is the AOL of Gnutella, why do you want something that looks like a beginning programmer made it?

No longer a rumor!

You compare a 5 months old Xolox with a active developed client???

Remember how Gnuecleus was FIVE months ago! Do you really think the new Xolox will not improve?

Team Xolox is down one member.

I’ve read the e-mail from Team Xolox that Zeropaid posted, but I had also sent e-mail to mvoosten asking about the rumor, his response on "Tue, 09 Apr 2002 13:39:45" was:
Quote:

As I'm no longer involved with XoloX I can not comment on this rumor.

M.
So I guess that means Team Xolox is down at least one original member.
