I am running ZoneAlarm and am getting a hit almost every minute from the same IP address and the port is 6346 which I'm told is Gnutella or something like that. The IP is ***somewhere in Japan I think.
I got hundreds of hits a day recently when in the past I only got a few.
Can anyone explain what is happening and is there something "stuck" somewhere?
TIA |

Basically, it's just someone else's Gnutella client trying to connect to you, but if you don't have your Gnutella client up and running, all those packets just end up being filtered by ZoneAlarm. If you don't start your Gnutella client up for a while (a few days, a week... it depends on a few things), eventually all the other Gnutella clients stop trying to connect to you. Don't worry, it's all just harmless traffic. |
