You can also rip it off and make it worse (Morpheus).
So you're saying non-open source clients can't be improved?

Wink Qtrax Max

Have you guys checked out Qtrax Max? I was able to download 30 files in less than two hours and often at speeds of 40kb. The best rate I have gotten with other programs is 5kb. They have a very simple user interface and a cool feature that is called popularity. The higher the number, the faster the download.

I think you should check it out and give your opinion.

LimeWire will be blocking QtraxMax in the next version.

Angry Block by Limewire

What is that all about? So does that mean that the Limewire nodes will not be accessible? Did Qtrax Max **** someone off?

It's flooding the network with queries and hammering clients with download requests every few seconds. Bearshare and I believe also gnucleus are planning to do something about it, too (according to my knowledge, Bearshare already blocks QtraxMax). I read some posting on the GDF, that the QtraxMax people would throttle requeries / download requests in the versions to come but until they update, they will probably be blocked by more and more clients (except for Morpheus, since Streamcast is probably neither aware of any problems gnutella has nor able to do something about it).

Thanks. Guess that explains why they are so fast. I'll make hay while the sun shines.

I like all Gnutella clients because no matter how small they are they still let you download and share files and some people like different features than others do.

I would think that these polls would be getting A LOT of ttention but they do not seem to
