For those that frequent the "Unite the Cows" website(a popular supporter of p2p networks and cleanclients)the site has been shutdown by the server provider as of this afternoon.

Reason: The site hosts many different cleanclient versions of p2p software. One of those was Dr. Damn's clean version of Grokster. Recently the webmaster of UTC received a Cease & Desist email from the service provider based upon a complaint made by the developers of Grokster. Basically, it stated that Grokster was losing revenue because of the cleanclient version and demanded that the file be removed from the server. From what is believed, the server provider removed the file(not the webmaster) The webmaster reposted the file this morning, and the site was shutdown this afternoon!

Also, for those that are familar with Dr. Damn, his site was recently "stolen" from him by the developers of Grokster. They bought the domain name and Dr.Damn's content was removed. Dr. Damn, was not even aware that the action had been taken.

UTC's webmaster is making arrangements to have the site back up and running in a day or so. Thanks to all the supporters of UTC.
