I am new and need help I have a computer at 2 different locations. Someone told me that I could view what is on one from the other using Gnutella. Can someone tell me where to begin? Thanks |
Well... I think there are much better ways to do this than with Gnutella. Gnutella is mainly for sharing files with anybody in the world that wants what you have, not just yourself. I've never tried it, but it seems to me like something along the lines of VNC would be what you're looking for... or perhaps an actual FTP server with a password protected directory of the files you want to share. Unless I'm missing something? |
Well the new Shareaza and LimeWire support host browsing. So I guess you can enter the IP address of the other computer that is also running Shareaza and LimeWire (or any client that supports host browsing in the future). http://www.shareaza.com/ http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/download_beta Gnucleus also has a LAN version, would that work? http://www.gnucleus.net/ But why don't you just use FTP? |
