It has spyware and adware. This will be the next bearshare

teedog August 4th, 2002 11:45 AM

Next BearShare? That's an insult to Vinnie. AtomWire is merely a Gnucleus clone.

evilmegaman August 4th, 2002 11:52 AM

:p oh ok then this will be the next Morpheus :p

Paradog August 4th, 2002 12:18 PM

Yeah, in the current status it is like Morpheus:
It is using the Gnucleus code as a temporary solution while they are waiting for the .net framework to get distributed.

Atomwire is actually in c# but since the framework which is around 20 megs big is not wide spread they decided to wait and improve the code.

Thats the official statement people,
I dont have a opinion to this theme, mods are supposed to be bots with no feelings ;)

Paradog must seek..must kill...

WRONG!
SHareaza is closed source. How could Atomwire possibly get the source? Its a Gnucleus clone. Read the homepage or the about box. Thanks to John Marshal.

By the way,
I'm getting paid by Atomwire Corp. to make advertising for it.
LOL :D

But AW is looks and feel the same as Shareaza and using the same file system name. I think it is a clone of Shareaza.
Paradog, have you checked it out? If not, please do it and then tell me, what you think.
I think it's a clone with ads and spyware.
