Gnutella Program Problems

Alright recently I have been attempting to download an actual p2p program that I can actually use with ease and with good speed reliability. The only program right now I run is Kazaa Lite 2.0 which runs perfectly fine. These past few weeks I have been trying to install other p2p programs such as Xolox, WinMX, and Bearshare..(some of the popular p2p)..and all of them has giving me the same problems, they always freeze up or slow up my computer for some reason, but kazaalite works fine. I run Windows XP, 80 gig, 256ddrram, and on a high speed internet access cable modem......

Could someone please tell me what I can do to resolve this problem, because Im looking for a certain movie and I know that WinMX is the best for that....but that also gives me the same problem and I know its not a firewall issue.

Please if anyone out there can give me some possible solutions it would be a great help.

If you want a Gnutella client, use Shareaza (www.shareaza.com).

If it isn't on Kazaa or WinMX, it probably isn't there. But try Shareaza too, just in case.

Gnutella for movies? You're joking, right? Don't get me wrong. If I didn't use Gnutella, I wouldn't be here. (and Shareaza is a damn fine client) but for movies...try Direct Connect. Get the original software here:
http://www.neo-modus.com/
another version, but not all hubs accept DC++:
http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/
Many require HUGE amounts of files to be shared. Not all of them, though. These hubs are run by individuals - and they make the rules. Most are not a place for freeloaders or people sharing kiddie porn. Abide by their rules and you will be OK.....

Another thought...if your computer is misbehaving with so many apps. I'm wondering when was the last time you did some basic maintenance (scandisk/defrag) and have you used Adaware lately to check for scumware? Sorry, too lazy to go grab a link. Search google and you will find it.
