A lesson learnt about ad-aware A couple of frantic days ago I was playing around getting music and the like and paying too little attention to the ad aware scan that i had running, as well as a load of rubbish that was found i failed to notice that ad-aware had selected my winsock files to be deleted. With out these IE wont work as i was to find out. These are a lot of hassle and strife to replace if you dont have your OS disk, I didnt! I have learnt to keep a close eye on ad aware in the future and to always make back ups. But it is still a good program and i will use it again and again in times to come but not when i'm not looking. |
I dont think it was a legit source to tell you the truth, i reckon it came from like freeware.com or something like this but i will check it out and let others know! All in all its good to be back;) and as well as learning a lesson an paying attention to what i'm doing, i also learnt a bit more about winsock/wsock files, something that will be good to know in the future i'm sure. I also found out that microsoft are totally useless and do jack to help out their customers:mad: . Still F@CK them! |
