What does request timed out mean?

Right o...Whenever I try and download something, more often than not it says request timed out. And it's more annoying than you could ever believe. ESPECIALLY when you are dowloading a file of 30mb and it 'times out' after 26mb, and you cant resume it. Is there any way of stopping it happening or resuming the file so that it completes the download?

Explanations / hints / anything?

Cheers.

Rich

Trash your client and go get one that will resume. Most of the new ones do. Gnucleus does.
