ok...so i start having problems with my internet. It won't connect or do anything. so i call my cable company and they give me a number to call. so when i call the 1-800 number the man tells me that they had to cut my service off because i was using a program that had something to do with copyright laws or something and said iwas sharing it with the internet and stuff. well it turns out that i had the dumb and dumberer movie downloaded and people were uploading it from me. I had no idea. Anyways, the man told me to go to share directories and remove my shared files....but if i delete this it gets rid of everything i've downloaded....WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??

If you don't delete them but stop sharing them, I think there will be no problem. They can not (legally) know which files you have inside your PC. The other option is to change your ISP.
