2 Subjects in 1
 
1) I have a question about some downloads. Am I allowed to download any type of tv episodes shuch as family guy or the simpsons? Or is that illegal too? Just wondering

2) I just found this new file sharing program called Ares. You can get it from download.com. It has such an awesome interface, and it has no spyware or ads. Just thought i'd tell you, because i like it. ;)

If the files you are downloading are copyrighted, then it's illegal since you don't have the right to download copyrighted material. Since these movie clips are owned by some &*@^# big corporations like Warner you probably don't do that if you care about legalness. :eek:

They are sure copyrighted. All films, series, songs and the most games have nowadays a copyright. I think the copyright ends after 80 years - so you can downloads music from Mozart without risks. ;)
