What's wrong with the Gnutella network?

Why do searches always return about 90-95% junk? It appears that there are a LOT of Ultrapeers (traditional servents, too?) out there which are returning 'hits' for sources which are no longer on-line. Is there some way of automatically identifying these false hits and ignoring them? Maybe some way of detecting (testing?) Ultrapeers to see if they're 'full' of it?

Salut, I just ban them by right cliking on the search result (you have to do it once for each client that is insane). I don't get junk results anymore and I have banned less than 20 hosts.

Bonne chance
