My own files - test sharing

New user:

When I run a search with a string that would match one of my own shared files, should I see it come up in search results.

How can I test if my shared files are visible to other users?
I have no access to another machine on a differnet network with graphic capability, other than on my own home network.

I want to know for sure that when I'm online, other users can see
my shared files.

I know that Shareaza and Phex show hits per shared file, not sure about others as I don't use them

LimeWire shows that too.

BearShare also...

In Library

Plus Requests, Uploads and Sources (meaning others sharing the same.) More columns too choose... User must enable these features with right-click on the 'top bar'.

But, Harry, you didn't say what client you are using !!!
