Default p2p unix server?

I have been searching google for a good hr now trying to find just a p2p server client that runs under BSD. I dont need anything xwindows cause my server is at a colo, i just want some p2p comand line software set up so I can serve alot of files, I dont really need to search but want to be more of a big node..

I also looked around on the forums here and didnt see much if anyone could point me to the right direction/software for this that would rock..

thanks!

Post Solution to your problem

Hi,

I have exactly the solution you need as I am currently doing what you are attempting. There are two programs that will allow you to do this easily. The first one, giFT/Gnutella the other, Overnet command line client. Each on of these programs will run in a console environment. If you get giFTcurs you will get a graphical dos-application-like interface to the Gnutella network. I really like this one alot.

I'm still waiting for some help from someone at Limewire to provide some assistance on running LimeWire w/o the GUI so that I can use it in a similar environment.

If you need detailed instructions on how to setup giFT. I have a video that covers the entire process from start to finish.

This video is currently available via P2P and it's called CBT - Installing and configuring giFT Part 1

The video is available in two formats AVI and WMV.

hope this helps.
