Attn: P2P gurus I am doing an analysis on p2p protocols. So, I decided to create a private LAN. 4 computers with 192.168.*.* addressing scheme connected to a 10/100 Switch. I installed Gnucleus LAN in one computer and the remaining computers running Fedora with Napshare..I edited the NAPS-settings.txt file so that the protocol = "GNUCLEAR" and Lan = "myLAN" .
But am not able to create a private gnutella network..when i executed the findgnuc binary..i got a pong from the host running gnucleus lan claiming to be from "myLAN". I have done everything mentioned in the README file..but still am unable to connect with Gnucleus LAN..when i manually entered the IP address and portnumber and clicked Add..it prompts "Connection failed" . Any thoughts?
2) I tried to do the same by running Phex in two computers belonging to the same subnet. I clicked the Swith Network (Ctrl W) and changed it to "myLAN" in both the clients. I tried to manually enter IP addresses of each other it tries to connect and says Error No Re...
I am really frustrated..can anyone please help me..
PS: I tried Gnucleus LAN a windows based client..bang! everything works alright..now when I try Linux..something stuffs up because am a semi-newbie |
