 WASTE! - from the Creator of Gnutella WASTE! - from the Creator of Gnutella http://www.nik.com.au/waste/ The guy who created Nullsoft WinAmp up to version 5.0 and ShoutCast and the original Gnutella code has released (May 2003) WASTE a SECURE chat and SECURE filesharing program! Nullsoft WASTE WASTE is a software product and protocol that enables secure distributed communication for small (on the order of 10-50 nodes) trusted groups of users. WASTE is designed to enable small companies and small teams within larger companies to easily communicate and collaborate in a secure and efficient fashion, independent of physical network topology. -- Lets hear some discussion on this. It seems like a good idea to reverse engineer this code and get it into the hands of open-source coders so SECURITY could be introduced into Gnutella clients. What do you think? Does anyone agree? Anyone Disagree?  |
