Spying ?

Hi there,

I use LimeWire via my University LAN. Is it possible for anybody to determine *exactly* what files I am downloading from Gnutella and what their content is ?

Thanks !!

The pong response to a ping includes:Port, IP Address, # of shared files, and # of KB shared.

The Gnutella protocol Query Hit includes:File index, File Size and File Name.

So yes the network admin folks can find out what you are up to but first they would have to capture(sniff) some of your packets and have a look at them.

NT server comes with a sniffer......:(

But

The network admin guys are usually too busy...:p

Nuff Said:cool:
