Encourage to Upload my Pics

Is there was way to define my files to encourage people to choose my images? I do not want to mislead though. When I type the file name, or anything associated with the way I saved my image...nothing comes up.

Unfortunately your shared files will not show in any of your own search results. If you know anybody else has uses p2p, see if they'll search it for you.

For labelling of files for sharing, you should be precise & accurate as possible. So people will locate them with ease if that's what they're searching for. Unfortunately too many p2p users don't name their files accurately or even deliberately misname them & so causing headaches for people who dwnld them but don't want them or people who do want them cannot find them. eg: The_Great_Canyon_Holiday_photos_#.jpg or Baseball_Grand_final_2005_Photo#.jpg Names like this & people wanting photos of that topic will find them easily. It gives the topic of the image & some short specific details. I'm sure you could even do much better than that example.

Either way I guess, but better separated. If possible leave a gap b/w the words. I just used the underscore as an example though I wouldn't use that myself (I use a mac.) If the words are separate, it'll be easier for p2p apps to catch onto one of the words of the file name in their searches. It would be easier for searches to link onto canyon than GrandCanyon. But that's not to say named that way (joined) wouldn't show up in searches b/c they should. A search may link onto any of the 3 words or even the extension. So I'd personally prefer & recommend separate words. eg- Grand canyon

the best way is to rename it to porn or anything like this.

Quite a few photos include "Wallpaper" or "Public Domain" in the name: this is a good way to attract broader searches, and is reassuring for those who don't want to waste their time on spam/porn.

So, "(Wallpaper Public Domain) Grand Canyon.jpg"

Searches also look at the folder name (path) in which the files are stored. So you can add some "invisible" ways to have your photos show up in other people's searches.

However, pleeeease don't put them in a folder called "Britney"


btw--many home digital photos use the camera's default naming, so if I'm looking for non-commercial photos, I just search for "dscf .jpg".
