So is this illegal or not? I have just read an article in my local newspaper that 7 people in my state are being sued by the music industry. Quote - Violators use peer to peer file sharing programs to exchange music that go under such names as Morpheus, Kazaa, Gnutella, eDonkey, and Grokster. unquote. Someone please let me know what is going on because I had no idea that this was illegal. Joy |
it's not illegal, but some stuff people are sharing hasn't been allowed (like copyrighted songs). The disputes over sharing copyright material have been going on for a few years, and changes almost daily. In the US, keep an eye on http://www.eff.org/share/ about what is happening. |
isnt it only illegal if u dont pay for it? |
Hmmm.... having a lot of money around can help things yes |
