Unfortunately no. And no GnucDNA clients were ported to the mac either. AFAIK

The Mac gnutella clients are LimeWire, LimeWire Pirate Edition (this works well), Phex, FrostWire (contains adware). There are a couple others not represented on this forum which are spin-offs of LW using the same code. One is a smaller version used mostly in the asian countries. The other, I also have a mindblock on the name but starts with A lol, but you need to buy it & also it now has same problem as the original LW with connecting. (I have tried both these last two clients in years past.)

Apparently Gtk-Gnutella (Linux client) works on Mac but only via terminal I believe.

There are a few ways you can run a Windows program client on your Mac. One is WINE, which is free. Simply allows you to run Windows apps. Another is, if you have an intel mac you can install Windows either with or without Bootcamp support. Other alternative is to install a virtual machine that runs Windows (which is what I use. i tried bootcamp option but my windows kept corrupting & eventually gave up on it.) Obviously I'm a Mac user also. :D

Have you tried the LPE (Pirate Edition)?
If you wish to try it, I'd recommend first deleting parts of your FrostWire preferences but keeping your downloads.dat & library5.dat & library.dat files. Downloads.dat contains your incomplete files download history. Library.dat files contain your shares information. If your shares are not complicated, then do not back this file up. Limewire.props I usually backup also but depends how differently FrostWire deals with this file. (The xml folder contains all the meta descriptions given to your files but ... FW is based on LW 4 using LW 5 code, so might be worth ridding of this folder since LW 4 meta-data is not compatible with LW 5.)
Probably easiest way is to backup just the Downloads.dat file, then delete all references to FrostWire on your computer. Install LPE & run it once, close it. Then replace the newer downloads.dat with the older one you backed up. (How to find the LW preferences folder)
This is probably more-so to do with your selection of files to download. Some good tips here How to find music & video.

Those are really helpful tips. Thanks! I use Frostwire, and I could spot the corrupt files by rolling my cursor over them or just looking at the file size and bitrates. It's just frustrating when all my searches are corrupt!! I will try the LW Pirate version. What is your review on Phex?

Traditionally I've used Phex as an alternative to using LW. Phex tended (more-so in past) to connect to the 'other' gnutella clients (whereas LW generally connects to other LW or FW hosts), thus was good for searching the rarer material. However over past 12 months I noticed it mostly connected with LW hosts. Phex's interface is not as simple as LW & does not have some of the same whistles but is a good program anyway. My 2nd fav to LW. Phex can easily often connected to quite a few hosts when connecting & is settled.

Edit: oops I just opened Phex up & it connected to 4 other Phex users immediately, so there you go lol. :D Phex generally connects to 5 or 6 or more ultrapeers when in leaf mode so this helps of course (LW Basic only connects to 3 ultrapeers, & LW Pro to 5.) The longer you are connected the better it behaves. Phex has more likely-hood of connecting to other clients and particularly finding 'other' gnutella clients in searches in comparison to LW. At least this was and still is always the reason I like to use Phex. Those 'other' (non-Limewire or Frostwire) gnutella clients often have those rarer files you may be seeking. ;) (With exceptions, both LimeWire & FrostWire generally only find other LW & FW clients in their search results due to their connection pattern.)

After using GTK-Gnutella for a while, now i'm using Phex again (as Ultrapeer)!

@Lord of the Rings

That's just one of the reasons i'm using Phex, because Phex connects to "other" clients too... nice to see when i'm connected to alot of Phex clients ;-)

If you create a filter, you can filter out alot of fake-files (very simple to do!) that's another reason for me to use Phex.
