What's all the network traffic Hi, I'm a new user to the gnutella network (pretty pleased, thank you); however I noticed that for every 1kb I download/upload, there is at least 5Kb 'other' traffic on my connection. I was wondering what this is (It can't be all index-sharing, no ?). If there's something I'm doing wrong, I'd like to know, since I do have a upperlimit in traffic/month by my ISP. |
There's nothing wrong with the other traffic, this is network traffic. The more connections you keep up ,the more traffic passes trough your computer, so lowering your connections is better for your traffic limit. On the other side ,with more connections, you get more search results. You can also read this thread http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...=918#post11525 |
