connect timeouts

HI,

Im getting connect timeouts on both limewire and bearshare. I can ping the connect servers but no dice any other way.

Im suspecting that my isp, Pacbell, may have closed the ports. Is there any way to verify this?

Thanks

i've been noticing this too, and as i'm in the process of attempting to write a gnutella client, it's been a little annoying. connect3.bearshare.net goes up and down, but i can connect to any of the others at all. the odd thing is, if i do a 'telnet router.limewire.com 6346' it times out, but if i remove all the hostcache info from limewire, set it to autoconnect, and only leave route.limewire.com in the autoconnect list, in two mintues i have 3 or 4 connections and a full cache list.

Same thing's happening here in Japan.
I've tried three different ISPs.
Can't connect Limewire on Mac.

Having the same problem with Limewire on Mac using Southwestern Bell ADSL service. I am starting to suspect that the SBC Internet Services group (SWBell, PacBell, NavBell, and a few others) are blocking that port though I have talked to their (very crappy) tech support about it and they say that they are not blocking any ports.
