No, just exhasperated by a site that promises a lot but gives nothing in return and takes your money at the same time, while offering no help, at all! |
What money?? LimeWire, Shareaza, Phex, FrostWire, and BearShare is free.... not sure about the others cuz i didnt test them. |
I sent money............. checked with my credit card provider.......they received............... I got Jack@#$% in return. |
What did you order? |
it gets complicated......I got on the limewire site and got prompted to pay....I paid , the money went to some site I cant recall at the moment ( but assured me limewire got the money)... |
Found the site , IP-MP3Support.net. Thats who got the money and said was forwaded to limewire. |
you totally been scammed. Only order through the offical site. if you want to order limewire pro, then go to limewire.com. IP-MP3Support.net is a scammed, the address is blocked cuz my SpywareBlaster blocked it by using a hosts file And i suggest you to contact your credit company and tell them that you been scammed and you can get your money back when you inform your credit |
I'm sorry to hear there is yet another scam victim. The following link will show you are not alone. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28751 The gnutella network is not, as you may have been led to believe a free movie download service, it is a p2p file sharing network. Limewire is available from www.limewire.com free for basic and $18.88 for pro. The site will explain what to expect from Limewire. I hope this helps:) |
Caloundratattoo I hope that now you realise that LW or Gnuttella didn't scam you the site that you went to did. It seemed that you got hi-jacked away from the LW site and then taken to the scam site, unfortunately this has happened to other novice users before and will continue to happen as long as users fail to take action to keep their PCs safe. You got hi-jacked because something got secretly downloaded to your PC while you were on the internet, and from what Limewirer wrote, it seems that this download attacked your PC's "Host" file and overwrote it with the scam site's URL. In other words your PC has been compromised possibly because you have failed to install any protective software. As you are probably a novice, you will have to get someone to help you clean up your machine and additionally advice you how to protect your PC in furure from this sort of attack. UK Bob |
