******* Edit

i downloaded some videos, and it was cp. you need to moniter what goes on here. if i get caught with this **** i will name names. i will sue for damages. you ***** need to learn that these people put these files on this **** with different names. if i do get questioned, you will hear from my attorney. and i will win. heed my words, because they will be your last. you cant stop people from uploading? yes you can. charge people. like imesh does. just a word of warning. if i get trouble you get trouble.

wondering why May 25th, 2006 01:37 AM

We all feel the same way about CP, but you must learn what P2P is all about, it is not the Gnutella network that is responsible for those files, but the sickos that are out there...
Always check your files with Bitzi and then you will know what you are downloading....

Also I should mention that you should report these files to the appropriate authorities....

I ALREADY HAVE. this is just a warning to these ***** these ***** who run this cockamamie wannabe p2p. if you guys want a p2p who specializes in music, and absolutely no cp, i will tell you. they pay people to check, which is why after two weeks you have to subscribe to it. just pm me and i WILL give you the address. i used to think it wasnt fair how they cut me off, but now after this limewire s hit, uh uh. i gaurantee, if you are willing to pay, i will give you an address to something that does not have this **** on it. no, i dont work for them. i just think that a p2p should check their system. and dont say that they cant, because the one i am on does.

Who told you gnutella specialises in music? I don't see LimeWire advertising music downloads on its website do you? I don't see it advertising movie downloads either. What it does say is not to use the programs for downloading copyright material. How the network is used is up to the individuals who use it. ie: Quality of Content on the Network (click on link)

There's ways of filtering out material like you saw. Search the forums & you can find such techniques. Rather than just coming here & bitching. Go to the pub for that.

a paid subscription service eh?, with guarantees as to what's on the network eh?, that's illegal as all hell, so yeah, pm me with the details and I'll inform my contacts all about it (and it will be shut down right quickly)

p2p is meant to be free, and people are supposed to be able to host what they want, so people monitoring what people upload would kind of defeat the purpose.

but i agree there is too much cp out there, and i dont see why we can't report the names of the files and users and ips of the stuff to the ppl who have the gnutella servers so they can ban these people's ips and delete the files off the network. there's no reason to have that stuff out there

Sorry but the Gnutella network does not have any servers. It has users and each user is a server. The files you or I share are not held on a server they are on your computer. That is why the Gnutella network is virtually impossible to shut down because there are no servers to seize and shut down. Just users.
