A real problem at our campus

Our security officer found people downloading a lot of illegal stuff off of gnutella programs.. so they decided to stop everyone from using the gnutella protocol.. which i think is very unfair.. If they had done something simple like block the default port of the programs being used.. this would be easy to remedy... however they did something a little more rash.. They blocked all of the ip addresses of the search servers.. is there anything that is known to get around this?... my email address is PhoR_saken@hotmail.com if you have a good solution.. i would appreciate a line.

Ummm, what is a search server?
If you mean host cache, if there isn't a web page you can go to, like you used to have on limewire, put one up by having a nice person with a home connection share his host cache file from his client via a web server. You could post one to a free web server too. If you only listed say 50 IP's that would get most clients started and you would have low bandwith so as to not make your free web site suspect and shut down!
