Yo Elda!

The .dmg extension means its a disk image file. You should be able to open it by double-clicking on it. Sometimes these appear as text files. If this is what is causing your problem, just download DMG Fixer from http://homepage.mac.com/mnkd/dmgfixer10.sit. Drag the DMG file to the DMG Fixer icon, and it should fix the problems. Now you should be able to open the file just by double-clicking on it.

Hope this helps!

I tried with Disk Copy but it didn´t work. The software i downloaded are for Mac OS X and OS 9. I have OS 9. Do i need to have OS X in order to decompress those DMG files ?

Thanks again

Elda

I have never used OS 9, so I don't know if .dmg files will work on this version. The files worked just fine on OS X, at least the files I used. I have heard that Disk Copy 6.4 or later is required to mount these image files.

You might also try the "evaluation" version of OS X, available on Gnutella.

Where did you get the address for dmgfixer10.sit? I can't find the address, nor can I find this file anywhere on the Apple site, version tracker, or another mac archive site.
