An OS has no real preference over a HD, you just have to make sure the bios reads it! If not, you may have the boot sectors wrong, for example: set as ntfs instead of fat32... that would then require a format to wipe the boot sectors.

Im pretty sure 95 doesnt operate on ntfs... only win2k and XP

If you have an old system, your bios might not want to see the whole HD.
E.G. I Once put a 30 GB hard drive in an old P 133 system, and the bios would only see 16 GB :D
Anyways, it still was a great improvement, becouse the old HD was only 4 GB

Well, I tried all possibilities, But when asked in the shop where I bought the HD, they sugested A bios flash would be a good solution, becouse the version that was on wasn't capable of seeing more than 16 GB they thought.
But I never flashed the old thing, It wasn't my own computer you see and flashing a bios CAN be dangerous.

visit the site of your Bios provider and download the latest version! That should sort you out....
