unable to connect with ANY gnutella client

I just can't get connected.

I did the telnet test and it passed, yet I cannot connect with any gnutella client.

this hapens wether or not I use my router or am connected straight to my cable modem.

anyone have any thoughts? everything else that hits the net works just fine.

My only guess right now would be that your ISP is banning gnutella. Simple enough to ask them and see. I don't know if virus protection or firewall software can effect this, but I suppose anything is possible.

No Gnotelle Network?

I have the same symptoms: Internet works fine, just Gnutella can't connect to anybody...
Something wrong with the whole Gnotella-Network?
I'd be glad for any reply or confirmation

You can help us with some information...

Do have a firewall?
Do you are behind a proxy?
Which clients do you tested so far?
Which error messages you get?

Connection problems woth Gnutella

Well, this is common around here, I have the same problem, but, here I have some clues:

* I have a program called naviscope that blocks ads, of course that he has an built in firewall or something like it (using ip 127.0.0.1 and port:81)
* I am connecting with one of those lazy internet providers (the free ones), called Tutopia (sound funny the first time), but what I got usually are timeout problems, now, I don't know if it is the same thing, usually using the mirc I have the same problem, but trying at 1 or 2 am it solves the problem.

mmm nothing else, ooo, I have a 56 k modem, so, I guess is it all.

By the way, do you know any other servers closer to souht america?
Thanxs :D

Tutopia

When I used to have dialup, my ISP was Advance, from Telefonica, and I payed for it. But there were some days it was too slow and so I suscribed to Tutopia too. I've connected to Gnotella with no problems a couple of months ago with Tutopia, when I had some problems with my Ethernet Adapter.
