question about gnutella working

Hi,
How this gnutella will work. what server u people are using. how this software down load from others machine and others down load from my machine. what server u people are using. how it works. how it works through firewall, across the firewalls. can u give some idea regarding this

Why not just download a client, Gnucleus for instance and try it out. Learn by doing. I won't hurt to run it for a few hours.
