Can Gnutella be made anonymous???
 

Will it be possible for future clones (ie GnOtella) to make all users anonymous? If this can be done then the RIAA will have no way to prosecute anyone. I believe such a feature would really ensure the survival of gNet!

Unfortually that wont help... chances are if someone wants to spy on the gnutella network they can just have a custom client view the contents of the traffic (query/query replies)

Disableing the feature in this client wouldnt stop people from using other clients to spy.

but wouldn't it be possible to add a "spoofer" to a gnutella client that hides your identity to anyone on gnet...
