search user

I wonder if there is any program that works like audiogalaxy. I mean if there is a program where you can search for a specific user and than get hold of any file that this specific user has on its computer. Of course that folder which is open for any other gnutella user. I have a friend that has over 5.000 files and I would like to reach these files. We both have Kazza and Grokster, but even if I search for a file that only my friend has (it has a very strange name) I get no hits. This mean that I have no contact with my friends register. If you would like to se all files from any user on Kazaa or Grokster you must first get a hit. Why?

Because to keep you users happy the only way they can make their system work must be that they put up some fake servers out there with all kinds of illegal MP3s 60GB worth and that is what you are searching. There probably is no real network nor is this true P2P, but you are happy cause you get the MP3 file you want and they make $4000 plus a month on all the ads.

The best way to share files in private is an http or ftp server!

You can find some at www.tucows.com! War-ftp is good and freeware.

My english is probably not that good, but in Audiogalaxy you search for a specific user and when you have found it you can see a list of all the song that user has and then get hold of them.

In kazza and Grokster you search for a song and get a hit and then you can use a function "find more from same user" and you can see a list of all that userīs files. But if you donīt get a hit you are unable to see this list. My question is if there is a program where you can search for a specific username and then see a list of all that persons files. If you can see all the files from a persons folder by the function "find more from same user" why canīt you see them if you donīt first get a hit. By searching for the username for instanse.

I for one wouldn't want you to get a list of all my files, it's nice to be a little private. I don't mind giving you files that match your query, or match queries that I allow.
