request help for cable firewall Hi. I've got a cable firewall and set it up as follows. Please tell me what I did wrong. Set the "virtual server" option so that my PC (192.168.0.10) is exposed to port 6355. This has the effect of opening port 6355 on my PC as though the PC was set to the fixed IP address from my ISP. I tried using the configuration setting with the "force local IP" both on and off (using my fixed IP address in the "to:" field. This is a Win2K box. Any hints? Thanks |
Figured it out. default hosts server was not online. Put in gnutellahosts.com:6346 and it worked. Don't have to force the IP address. This is a U-Gate-3000 in case anybody else has one. |
I'm on a cable modem myself and can't get on the gnutellahost server or any others for that matter. What do I do? |
