Is there a backdoor port for gnutella?

Because CalStateLA has very tiny bandwidth for what it needs to accomplish, port 6346 has been shutdown temporarily. It doesn't expect the Governor to come to the rescue (monetarily) any time soon.

Nonetheless, a class in P2P is conducted at CalStateLA which needs to use a port to morpheus and bearshare for educational purposes. Is there an alternative port listening on either of these services?

Please write to flaco@calstatela.edu if you have the answer.

All of the good gnutella clients will let you change the listening port to what ever you want to. My ISP is blocking port 6346 too and still use the gnutella network.

BearShare and Morpheus are bad examples for learning, why doesn't the teacher pick something that you can get source code for and that doesn't spy on you?
Unless the lesson is in how programs spy on you, then it's a great lesson!
