![]() I almost forgot the best part, when Vinnie has to admit he put in "preferencing code". Then later he has to admit he is "preferencing" in his public host cache. Then a little later he has to admit to BS "preferencing" where a upload port always waits for a BS client only. ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT??? ![]() ________________________________________________ Vinnie BearShare Developer Wow Actually, the diagram is roughly accurate. The BearShare preferencing code is designed to create a concentrated core base of BearShare nodes, with connections to other servents delegated to the fringe of this core. This provides the best performance for BearShare users, and still ensures that the entire network is connected. ________________________________________________ Edit that last part SB: "and still ensures that the entire network is connected as outsiders, so I have a back up in case I screw up again" |
