Lime Wire 2.5 on Mandrake 8.2 PowerPack Ok, I downloaded LimeWire 2.5 and exicuted the .bin file. This is what I get: Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Configuring the installer for this system's environment... Launching installer... Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `-Xmx50331648'. Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `-Xms16777216'. Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `-Xms16777216'. A small rectangular box with som flashing balls came up, but dissapeared. I assumed that this was supposed to be the installer. What is wrong? (And how do I fix it?) |
Simple.... Remove kaffe. rpm -e --nodeps kaffe altoine |
get 'missing VM' errors I got the exact same errors as above, so I uninstalled kaffe as suggested. Now I get the following errors from the Limewire installer instead: [root@earth limewire]# ./LimeWireLinux.bin Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Configuring the installer for this system's environment... No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH environment variable. You must install a VM prior to running this program. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sun's java runtime environment - I thought that contained my virtual machine? That didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks. |
fixed - I'm an idiot Simply added /usr/java/j2re1.4.0_02/bin to my path. Works fine now. |
