Post when all else fails...get the .tgz

For a couple days, i attempted to get LimeWire to work. after installing j2re1.4.0 and reading a number of posts here (which were helpful), it still wasn't working. So i saw someone here mention the "trusty" tgz version of limewire. This works great for me!!!! i don't see what' sthe point of the .bin file when the .tgz file works perfectly.

if you installed the java VM correctly but are having problems later in the installation like i did, try the .tgz ! it will most likely work.
