Question Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/zerog/lax/LAX

Hi!

Since 2 days I'm trying to get Limewire to work.
I made it how it is told in the " I Have The Solution To All Install Problems"-thread and
I've downloaded a newer Version of SunJava and installed it, too, but there comes always this error-message:
benjamin@linux:/opt/limewire> ./LimeWireLinux.bin
Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

Launching installer...

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/zerog/lax/LAX

What's wrong?

BTW: kaffe doesn't exist on my SuSE 8.1 prof. box...

Thank you!

d:-) Benny

Suse sets Java 1.1.8 as you default JRE. Deinstall it or let your /usr/lib/jre or /usr/lib/java directories point to the folders where you installed Sun's latest JRE or JDK

Lightbulb Workaround

Hi anyone..

I was having the same problem on Suse8.1
Using the 'Other Installer' from the LimeWire d/l page did the job for me.

Happy Sharing
Lars
