Unhappy Stupid Question But..... Java

Hi All,

this is a stupid question but im very very new to linux. I have downloaded the sun .rpm java, in my folder /home/daryl/Documents. I have seen a lot of the /usr/jave/(version) I dont have a /usr/java folder?

Do i need to make this folder and then place the .rpm file into it and then install the java files? Or will the .rmp make the folder for me?

very confusing for a windows man. lol

please be very clear on response.

also i have copied and printed the install process just need to know this bit of information.

Thanks
Daryl
