You have to install the Java-only version of LimeWire (not the *.bin version)

this works, but it runs extremely slowly and instable......

@urmel: Yoo have to set the classpath properly, e.g.:
CLASSPATH="/usr/lib/java/lib/classes.zip:/usr/lib/java/lib:."
export CLASSPATH
(add these lines to your /etc/profile file)
