 java install not working ;x ok i followed the directions that are on the java site and in the post to solve all installation problems...everything works fine except for when i get to this step rpm -iv j2re-1_4_2_04-linux-i586.rpm i press enter and it just sits there...like no output no anything it doesnt evne bring up localhostsoandso@localhost $ and i can't put in any other commands or do anything except x out of the terminal. any suggestions for this? ps i'm on fedora core. pps yea i used root when typing above command Last edited by mordecai; April 22nd, 2004 at 05:42 AM.  |
