Linux-Mandrake Installation Newbie (as you'll probably notice...:) I've tried downloading the program several times, but everytime I start the installation I get this message: --- [kurtber@localhost LimeWire1.4b]$ ./LimeWireLinux.bin Preparing to install... The included VM could not be uncompressed. Please try to download the installer again and make sure that you download using 'binary' mode. Please do not attempt to install this currently downloaded copy. --- Is there some sort of Linux-fix-thingy I haven't understood yet? I couldn't find anyone else with the same problem in here... (hmm... I feel... alone) Please help me! (En with a plead... Normally helps!) |

I think it's called ncompress-X.X.X-XXmdk <X's are version numbers> do a 'rpm -q ncompress' to see if the package is installed, or a 'urpmf compress' to see what package it's in. |
Where are you getting LimeWireLinux.bin from? It should be LimeWireLinux.tgz |
