Default How to install LW 4.4.x from .zip on Linux ?

Hi !

IMHO .bin installer for linux was very good... why now (in 4.4.x version) is there .zip archives ?

How to install that on Linux (non-rpm distro..) ?

Since my RPM file of my other post is not working, I tried to install the .ZIP file with little success.

I'm running Xandros 3.0 OE

Here is the error that I got after running:

sh runLime.sh

Internal error: caught an unexpected exception.
Please check your CLASSPATH and your installation.
java/lang/NullPointerException

runLime.sh: line 19: 629 Aborted java Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons .logging.impl.NoOpLog -jar LimeWire.jar
runLime.sh: line 26: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'
runLime.sh: line 30: syntax error: unexpected end of file

Like I said elsewhere....not my day.

I have no working Limewire anymore of any type.

Some thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks again,
Eric.

make sure you delete, uninstall or rename you prior version. this works in Xandros 3 with Feb updates for me just fine. I do agree they should use the .bin installation rather than this new fangled way.
