installating in linux

I tried to install the software in linux, but they send me to a window that says ==> acces as a root (acceso como root) and asks me for a password. It means that I can't install it?

dude try installing it in your home folder ,or may be in some directory where you have permission like /usr/share/applications
where every body on your comuter can use it then i think you might not get that message

If you own the computer you're installing it on, you should've entered a "root" password while you were installing the operating system. Otherwise, ask the owner of the system for the root password.
