Default FC4 Problem

I'm trying to install Limewire on Fedora Core 4, this is my first time with linux so I'm struggling through. I've gotten Limewire and Java installed, but still when I run limewire it says it's pointed to gij and not jre. In other threads people have posted a link to a fix for this problem but It doesn't seem to work anymore. Can someone please locate or repost the contents of that thread?

Thanks

Btw, this is the output of my terminal when I run Limewire:

Starting LimeWire...
Java exec found in PATH. Verifying...
Suitable java version found [java = 1.4.2]
Configuring environment...
Loading LimeWire:
Exception during runtime initialization
java.lang.NullPointerException
<<No stacktrace available>>

************************************************** ****************
Something went wrong with LimeWire.
Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java?
(LimeWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.4+)
The version of Java in your PATH is:
java version "1.4.2"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.0.0 20050519 (Red Hat 4.0.0-8)

And when I run which java

/usr/bin/java

Hi, the instructions are on the top sticky in this forum. Make sure you download the RPM from the provided link.

Yeah, and everything seemed to have worked fine, but still lime wire will now work, do I possibly need to uninstall the old java runtime?

Are you installing our latest Beta (4.9.0)? It should try and find the appropriate java automatically.
