Limewire panel goes blank

Hello,
I have the current release of LimeWire running on a Linspire Linux machine. I pulled it down as a package and converted it to the format Linspire installs from.

Here is the problem. After a period of time from 10min to an hour, the Limewire window goes grey. The only way I can get it working again is to kill the app and restart. What's up with that?

Fyi, Linspire is for the wife and kids. I have used the same release of LimeWire on Fedora core 4 (ya I'm a geek) with no problems.

Regards.
Larry

I'm not Linux educated but, there has been a similar issue upon those using certain graphic cards when using Windows. Perhaps one of the same answers might be true for you. See The way to fix the Blank screen on startup Just a thought & worth a try. ;)

The only time I got a freeze like that was using java 1.4. Updating to 1.5 solved the problem.
