My problem is a small but annoying one. I set up limewire so that it will download files into the folder /home/slash/shared/ but it downloads them straight onto my desktop. How do I fix this?

Nope, that is why I ask. As far as I understand, everything under tools-options-saving is exactly they way it is supposed to be, but then I'm new to limewire. /home/slash/shared, that is the folder my music is supped to go into and that is what is listed under "saving". Just so you know my OS is Linux Fedora Core 3 and I'm new to Linux too so maybe it is that something in Linux is set up wrong... I have no idea. It is very perplexing for me, I'm still down;oading even though everything goes to the desktop, I just drag it into the right folder but this is annoying and takes up time.
Is there any exta information anyone needs to answer my question?

PS: I just moved to linux a couple of days ago and am only used to Windows were it does everything for you I just thought I would let you know so know one assumes I might know what I'm doing

Sorry I'm at a loss. Linux isn't this difficult Can you go to a command-line and cd into /home/slash/shared? I don't know much about Fedora so I'm grasping at straws here...

Never mind I figured out what went wrong silly me. When I first installed limewire I,somehow, accidentaly told it to download to the desktop. Then when I realized my mistake I went into options and saving and fixed it but what I didn't know was that all of the songs that I told it to download when I first started that it handn't downloaded yet it would still download those to the desktop. Now that all those original songs are finished downloading and I have asked it to down;oad more music it puts them in the right file. Oh well, like I said small problem,
Thanks
