Install problems resolved - SuSe 7.3
 

I was having a really hard time installing LW. Every time I tried to install LimeWireLunix.bin, I kept getting a error...can't locate Java VM in PATH(something to that extent). Following twist's advice (a couple threads down), I fooled with my .profile and added /usr/java/jre1.3.1_01/bin to the PATH= line, then logged off and back on...Nothing worked yet. I then configured my rc.config to not locate on its own a java directory. (This is a weird thing SuSe did to make life easier on newbies like me). I logged off and back in and everything works like a charm.

From what you can read above, I'm a newbie...big time. I hope that someone can make everything I said sound more "professional" and helpful to others.

Hm...preferrable local settings (for all users) should be located in /etc/profile.local, where you can add a
PATH=/usr/Java_path/bin:$PATH
export $PATH
